I have only used this tool 5-6 times since I bought it, but I’m surprised at how useful it is. Just last night I used the scraper attachment to take old tile off a bathroom floor. Then I used the wood cutting attachment to trim the bottom of a door frame when I was putting in some thicker flooring. I really haven’t run into any negatives with this tool. Before I bought this, I had read several reviews stating that the attachments had to be continually tightened and a few that implied the cutting tools didn’t work that well. I haven’t had any issues with attachments vibrating loose, and I ran the scraper for 20+ mins at over 3/4 max speed. I also think that some people might’ve had trouble with the cutting attachments if they tried to force the tool to cut instead of just allowing the tool to do the cutting. In any case, I’m very happy with the purchase.

Ideal for Cutting, Grout Removal, and Scraping
The Multi-Max comes with a range of accessories that allow you to complete a wide variety of cutting, grout removal, and scraping applications. To start, the kit includes one 1/8-inch grout removal blade, ideal for wall and floor grout elimination. The blade’s carbide grit quickly and neatly removes old grout, and its 90-degree edge allows access in corners.
The Multi-Max Kit also comes with two 3/4-inch wood/metal flush-cut blades featuring Bi-Metal teeth for strength when cutting non-ferrous metal and wood. The kit also includes a 3/4-inch wood flush-cut blade that has a 1-1/4-inch depth of cut and is perfect for flush or plunge cutting in wood, plastic, drywall, and other soft materials. Additionally, the kit comes with a drywall/soft wood blade that neatly plunges and cuts and is great for longer straight cuts.
The Multi-Max even has a rigid scraper blade, which is best-suited for removing stuck vinyl flooring, carpeting, and carpet padding. It has a scraping edge on three sides and is offset for flush surface scraping.
